A New Year’s Day Reflection
A new year has dawned over Five Blessings Farms.
As the sun rises on January 1st, the pastures are quiet, the animals are fed, and there’s a stillness that invites reflection. New Year’s Day always feels a little different on the farm — a pause between what has been and what is yet to come. It’s a moment to breathe deeply, look back with gratitude, and look forward with faith.
Thankful for the Year Behind Us
The past year has been full — full of early mornings and late nights, muddy boots and full freezers, new life and hard lessons. Farming has a way of humbling you. It reminds you quickly that despite all the planning, the real control belongs to God alone.
Through it all, we’ve seen His provision time and time again:
- Healthy animals
- Food on our table and yours
- Support from family, friends, and customers who believe in what we’re building

We don’t take any of it for granted.
Looking Ahead with Faith
The new year brings fresh goals and renewed hope. There are plans for growth, improvements to make, animals to raise, and lessons still to learn. But more than checklists and calendars, we’re stepping into this year with a commitment to trust God more deeply in every part of the journey.
On a farm, you quickly learn that growth doesn’t happen overnight. It takes patience, stewardship, and daily faithfulness — values we strive to carry not just into our work, but into our home and our relationships as well.
Our prayer for this coming year is simple:
- To be good stewards of the land and animals entrusted to us
- To provide wholesome, responsibly raised food
- To live and work in a way that honors God

Lord,
Thank You for carrying us through another year.
Thank You for Your provision, protection, and grace.
As we step into this new year, guide our hands and hearts.
Help us to be faithful in the small things and trust You in the big ones.
Bless our families, our community, and all who place food on their tables today.
May everything we do bring glory to You.
