We’re Alan and Sherry Kelch, the husband-and-wife team behind Five Blessings Farms in Henderson, Texas.

Alan grew up in suburban Chicago but always carried a passion for country life. Sherry grew up in southeastern New Mexico, where 4-H and FFA shaped her childhood—winning countless competitions with pigs, chickens, and lambs alongside her brother Shawn.

We met, married, and raised three children while pursuing careers that eventually brought us to Central Texas for over 20 years. But the fire to return to the land never went out. In 2022, after months of searching and prayer, we found our “little slice of heaven” here in Henderson.

Now we’re doing what we love—raising premium grass-fed beef and pasture-raised pork for families who value quality meat raised the way God intended.

We started Five Blessings Farms with one simple goal: to raise grass-fed beef and pasture-raised pork the way God intended.

After COVID-19 opened our eyes to how fragile the food supply chain could be, we knew families in Henderson, Texas and the surrounding East Texas area deserved better.

We wanted to provide locally-raised, high-quality meat that families could trust.

What began as our desire for self-sufficiency grew into something more, because we discovered other families were looking for the same thing: premium grass-fed beef and pasture-raised pork raised without shortcuts.

Today, we farm not just for our family, but for yours too.

The Taste and Quality Your Family Will Notice

We’re a small family farm serving Henderson, Texas and within a 30-mile radius—not a big corporation.

Our grass-fed, grain-finished beef provides the perfect marbling and flavor, while our silvopasture-raised pigs are supplemented with free-choice, non-GMO feed. Every animal is processed at our local USDA-inspected facility that produces the quality cuts and packaging we’d want for our own family.

We offer convenient farm pickup Monday through Friday from 9AM-4PM, with evening and Saturday appointments available. Plus, we provide free local delivery within 20 miles of our Henderson Farm. We deliver Thursdays 5-9PM. $6.99 delivery fee (waived on orders $150+).

It’s not the fastest way to raise beef and pork—but we believe it’s the right way.
